In Kaneko laboratory, based on the polymer chemistry and functional materials chemistry, a variety of functional organic-inorganic hybrid materials are prepared.

Biography

 

Yoshiro Kaneko, born in 1972, received his Doctor of Engineering degree under the guidance of Prof. J. Kadokawa and Prof. H. Tagaya at Yamagata University (Japan) in 2001. From 2001 to 2002, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. T. Endo’s group at Yamagata University. From 2002 to 2004, he worked in Dr. N. Iyi’s group at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) (Japan), supported by a Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) fellowship. From 2004 to 2010, he worked as an assistant professor in Prof. J. Kadokawa’s group at Kagoshima University (Japan). He has been working as an associate professor at Kagoshima University since 2010. His present research focuses on preparation of the regularly structured silsesquioxanes and organic–inorganic hybrid materials.
